What if two people forget? Then they find each other? Would they fall in love again? Would the pain and lies be healed? Or would the truth lead them apart?
PROLOGUE
"Stop! Please! I can't take this anymore! Why??? What have I done to you?", she asked, tears in her eyes, still confused even with what she knew. Beside her was the guy she envisioned him to be, holding her hand for protection.
"It was never my intention to hurt you. I wanted to stop but I fell in love with you.", he said, serious and pain in his eyes. He wasn't what she expected to see. She knew it all along.
"You never wanted to hurt her? Really? Then why did you fucking use my identity in the first place? Why did you use my name and hurt all those girls?", Orion said, teeth gritting, wanting to punch the guy's face.
"I was in a weird state. I dunno. I can't explain it. But I love her.", Xander said, trying to move closer.
"No, you didn't. She's had enough. We will tell the police. You're fucking busted, man!", he gave Xander the middle finger and urged Neirobi to go with him towards his car.
"Wait... I want to hear what you have to say on this." She always sees the good things in people, that's her weakness.
"I'm so sorry, sweets...", he sounded sincere.
"Really, Neirobi? You'll listen to this guy? After all his lies? I can't believe you!", Orion was exasperated. He let go of her and went ahead towards the driver seat of his Chevrolet.
She couldn't stop crying in front of the guy who broke her heart a million pieces and has done it several times.
"I loved you but all you ever did was lie to me. What have I done to deserve all those lies and pain?", she confronted him.
Xander couldn't look at her straight in the eye.
"Right. You're good at that. Not answering my questions.", she shook her head and headed to the car.
"I love you, Neirobi", he said meekly.
She wanted to look back but she knew she'll only see the lie in his eyes.
***
"Shit! No way!", Orion tried to man the wheels, fear in his eyes.
"What's wrong?"
"There's no break. Shit! We need to jump, Neirobi."
She panicked. At the side mirror, she caught a glimpse of Xander in his motorbike, following them. Then there was a loud buzz and a screeching sound coming from nowhere. Then NOTHING.

3 hurt, 1 dead in twilight accident
March 5, 2013 07:28 AM
At least three people were critically injured after figuring in a freak accident where a car got hit by a 10-wheeler truck along Sommerset street in Metro Manila at around 6pm last night, March 4, 2013. A motorcycle rider driving behind the gray sedan, didn't escape the tragic incident.
Rescue teams said they detected traces that the driver of the 10-wheeler truck may have drunk liquor, radio dzMM's Athena Kuni reported. They also found faulty breaks on the chevy.
The report said a member of the Manila City rescue team initially identified the driver who died directly during the accident, as Mario Laurente, 32, was pinned in his car and had to be extricated with the help of different rescue teams.
The passengers of the chevy, identified as Orion Zobel, 22, and Neirobi Aranas, 24; and the motorbike rider, Xander dela Cruz, 26, were rushed to St.Luke's Medical Center for treatment.
Initial investigation showed Laurente, aboard the 10-wheeler truck, slammed into the silver Chevrolet Malibu, including partly the back of the blue Kawasaki (Bajaj) Rouser 135cc motorbike.

CHAPTER 1
"Are you sure you're my boyfriend?", she laughed. They were at the Batangas, lying in the sand, listening to the sound of the waves, looking up to the moon.
"Well, that's what they said!", he joked back. It was almost a year after the accident and they still haven't gotten their full memory back. Neirobi can remember Orion as her boyfriend since 2008 but couldn't remember how they have pictures together in social networking sites when they're supposed to have a long distance relationship. Her head aches every time she looks for answers as to why she's in Manila and not in Dumaguete. Orion on the other hand could remember the memories of them taking pictures together, dating, etc but couldn't recall having her as a girlfriend. The doctors call it selective amnesia. Both being in this condition, have to rely to their families and friends for the truth.
"Right!", she pouted. She got sad because somehow it didn't feel right. Something's off. She knew she loved the guy for so long. He's been her dream. But now that they're together, it seemed weird and unreal.
"There you go pouting again! How 'bout if I kiss those lips of yours and break our deal?", Orion himself is confused. The girl is beautiful, might not be his type, but he knew he could fall in love with her. There's just so many questions in his mind and he couldn't remember being in love with her.
"No way! Who knows you might be a killer!", she looked at him with humor. Orion is handsome. Not so tall but built in a macho kind of way. His body portrays that of a dancer, as he is. The light of the moon made his skin glow.
"C'mon! This face? A killer? Even without my full memory, I know I'm an angel!", they both laughed. "So, let's break the deal?"
She looked serious all of a sudden. "You know I love you, right?"
He sighed. "And you know it's the same here, right?"
"But we don't know the truth yet. What if our memory will be back and...and..?"
"...And you'd realize you don't love me after all?", he finished the sentence for her.
"And vice-versa."
'It would hurt. But maybe we should make the most of what we have now, baby. Besides, our friends and family said it's US. So, why question that. We have pictures together. We were sweet. What evidence do you want?"
"How come I'm not on your phone before? How come you don't speak Bisaya to me anymore?", her head hurt again.
"I don't speak Bisaya. Maybe you're mistaking me for someone else. And you're in my phone now. Speed dial number 1. Baby, maybe it's just the amnesia. We can't have this ruin us, can we?"
She nodded. Something's really off. Her laptop has all his messages before and there were Visayan words in them. Too bad her phone was broken during the accident, she could remember having recorded his voice there. She also couldn't access her email, facebook and twitter. She can't remember the passwords.
"Hey, look at me.", Orion cupped Neirobi's chin, "When we get our full memory back, I assure you, nothing will change. We will still love each other as much as we love each other now."
She smiled. She wanted to believe what he said. But maybe he's right. Just maybe.

^^Hi! May I ask for your number? :)^^ He posted on her friendster. That was mid-2008. It took him two weeks of waiting anxiously when he finally replied and gave her number.
"Whew! Thought you'd never give me your number!", he called directly after receiving the number online.
She giggled. "I don't really check my friendster so much. And I also don't give out my number."
(Inspired to make this because of our Bangkok trip. My writer mind is working again..hehe..) Title: (Tentative) I Just Wish You Knew Prologue The Bangkok City lights blazed as it was reflected on the Chao Phraya river. I can see the excitement in both our faces. She gave me her this-is-it grin. I smiled back. I was so excited myself. She took her Nikon camera and started acting as my paparazzi again, taking my pictures with the picturesque views. She moved nearer to the railings to get a better view of the Millenium Hilton Hotel just on the other side of the river. The building looked amazing from this vantage point. A lot of people--especially tourists like us---were also looking at the buliding and was getting in our way.
It annoyed me a bit but she was still gleeful. She took so many photos of me and the view and the people with us in the area. I noticed a tall guy with curly hair looking our way. Handsome, yes, but being faithful to the love of my life got the better of me. I didn't mind him so much. She looked my way and caught a glimpse of the guy. She looked at him again. I know that look of hers. She's a good judge of character. She didn't tell me anything but she hid a smile, shook her head a little, went back to taking pictures, amused. I looked at her, trying to coax her into telling me even if I know already. She just smiled. I looked sideways. The guy was still their, acting as if he's taking pictures of the view. Funny, it's always like this. That's why I'm no longer surprised. He actually isn't the first guy in this area who did that but he's the only whom I found her smiling at and not frowning. She walked towards me with a broad smile, "Our boat's here." And yes, it was there. It was like a yacht, only bigger. It looked amazing and I knew from there that we'll be having the time of our lives. "Let's go?", I asked her. She nodded trying her best to squeeze in with the crowd. It took 10 minutes before were able to get to the boat despite the fact that it's just near.
Before we went our designated table, she turned to me, her beautiful locks being blown by the breeze, "I wish this night will be enchanting". I smiled, and joked, "Who knows! We might even go to your favorite hotel!" pointing to Hilton. She shrugged knowing it's not in the agenda. But I'm glad she's not so negative with life anymore. She wants this night to be enchanting. She probably already realized her worth. She went to our table with a smile on her face. A happy, unmasked one. *****
"It all started way back 2010.", Marco narrated over a cup of coffee. He, too, is concerned.
2010 (Boston)
"Touchdown!", the announcer said with enthusiasm. All he ever needed was one more and they'll win it over the USA making history for Mexico. They've reached that far. They still can do it.
20 seconds. 20 seconds is still enough to catch the ball and do a touch down. It's in his hands being the quarter back. he needs to be mindful of things. He must play it intelligently like this is the last game in his life.
They were on their positions, ready to execute the play. The running back did his part but the opponent is very tight on their defense. 15 seconds. The receivers are waiting for him to throw the ball. He signaled them to look for a wider area so he could throw the ball and ensure a touchdown.
He saw Jose Mari, the wide receiver faking his run and then there was an opening. He readily threw the ball but his right hand became slack. The throw was short. And no matter how fast Jose Mari ran for the ball, he was unable to catch it.
The whistle rang. It felt like the end of the world for him. In the whole history of flag football, this was the only time they were able to go to the finals. First time and they lost. The oppurtunity was there but he lost it.
"Team USA won with the score of 14 over 12.", the announcer declared. He didn't actually hear it. Everything was in slow motion. They lost and it's because of him. Him.
He walked over to me. I can see the pain in his eyes. He tried to mask it with his smile but he can't fool me. I know him too well. Margarita was there, watching with her father. I could see the disappointment in both their faces. Margarita's dad have always disliked him. This was his chance to show him that he's someone he and his daughter could be proud of. Margarita's family are composed of football champions. Her dad used to be one of the rosters for Mexico way back his time in FIFA. Margarita's dad, Mr.Torres, have always ridiculed the sport he plays. He thought this was his chance to show him how likeable his sport is.
Margarita looked at him with a pained expression, too. Even if she's of legal age, she's still bounded to the decisions of her parents. She walked towards him, gave him a quick hug. "I need to leave. Papa needs to get back to work."
He didn't argue. he's too tired. He's too tired of it all.
*** "It was 2009 when they met...", I started. Marco offered milk for my brewed coffee but refused. I need all the caffeine that I need. This is going to be a long night. 2009
"I like her so much", he said, with those love-sick puppy eyes.
"You're not her type. She likes bookworms, brainiacs, nerds. You're one big arrogant jock!", I teased him.
"Oh, come on, Mimi! You know there's more to me than someone who plays ball." He seemed sincere. He used to play with girls, but with her, he seemed serious. He's been asking for her mobile number for 5 days now.
"What happened to you and Audrey?"
"well... we broke up. End of story."
"You dumped her?"
He didn't respond and tried to give me that boyish nonchalant look of his.
"So, you dumped her." I concluded.
"I can't allow her to suffer. I mean, if we continue and i don't love her anymore, it would hurt her all the more. Better end it early.", he said, matter-of-factly.
"That's the very reason why I don't want to give her number to you"
"C'mon, Mimi! I'm your bestfriend! You can do better than that.", he pleaded.
Well, yes, he's my bestfriend and even if he's a jackass at times, he,too, have a good heart.
"Okay, fine", I gave in. "But..."
"why is there always a but?" he whined with a triumphant smile.
"But you need to do something for me."
"Anything!"
"Oh, cool! You need to wear the Barney mascot tomorrow at our class. I need you as a visual for my report."
"What? Barney? That..that gay violet cartoon?"
"Don't you dare say that about my favorite! Deal or not?"
He wasn't so happy about but I knew he'd say yes.
The following day, he did arrive with the Barney costume, painstakingly standing during my report in class and trying to act like Barney.
Just before my report ended, the bell rang, and everybody scrambled out the door despite the charming mascot. He was about to remove the costume when Lois went inside.
"Hey!", she said to me and looked at the mascot. She removed her fake eye glasses and looked at my Barney. "How adorable! Can I take him home?"
It was all it took for Rain to answer, "Yes! Yes, you may take me home!"
I couldn't help but laugh.
Lois laughed, too.
Rain removed his head costume and smiled ever so charmingly at Lois.
"Hi, I'm Rain. In case, you don't know, I'm Mimi's bestfriend"
"Hi! I'm Lois.", she answered timidly.
"So, will you take me home now?" he joked.
I punched him in his gut.
Lois just laughed. "I just want to give you this, Mimi". She returned the quantum physics book she borrowed from me. Then I saw her glance at Rain. Then she has that smile. A kind of smile that actually comes from the inside.
"I'd better head back" She said to both me and Rain. "Nice meeting you, Barney. I mean, Rain." She waved.
Despite being a blabber mouth, Rain was unable to speak when she gave us her radiant smile.
"You need to give me her number now!", he demanded trying to get out of the heavy, smelly, hot costume.
I did. And it started all her heartaches. I blame myself partly. ***
"He was so depressed. He felt as if everything was falling apart. You know how men hurts.", Marco continued, his curly locks now shorter than the first time I saw him in Bangkok. He browsed through his facebook and showed me pictures of Fierro. LanFranco Fierro Leyva.
2010
"You're quitting? That's crazy, man! You brought the team this far. It's something to be proud of.", I told him. Not only is he my cousin, he's my bestfriend in the whole world, too. Sometimes, he's just too hard on his self. He wanted so much pleasing others, especially Margarita's family. But he just couldn't accomplish that.
He looked at his new pair of studs given by a fan---yes, he's pretty famous---and gave me another pained look. It tore my heart, too. He's dead serious.
"What if I'll just try out for the Mexico soccer team for Olympics? They've a got a slot open. Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez announced it over the tele."
"You know that isn't your first love." He did play soccer before. A lot of coaches from all over have been trying to get him play for their team. Even the National team has been eyeing on him but his heart was on flag football.
"Maybe it's time for change."
"Whatever your decision is, man. But if Margarita really loves you, she'll defend you to her parents."
"Margarita is very important to me. You know that, Marco. I'll do whatever it takes."
We were walking outside of school then when he saw it happened the first time.
Margarita was holding hands with another guy. A guy from the soccer team. They were heading towards the guy's car. They didn't notice us seeing them. Fierro was furious. He wanted so much to punch the guy in the face.
Now is the disadvantage of just riding his bicycle to school. He pedalled so fast to reach Maragrita's house. I was following a few meters away. When we reached the house, the blue sedan was already parked.
Fierro is not a hasty person. Despite what he saw, he remained calm. He knocked on the door. Margarita's father opened the door, not too happy to see him.
"Good evening, Mr.Torres. May I speak with Marga?"
He seemed hesitant but he called her anyway. "Make it fast, young man. We are having guests from the national soccer team." He emphasized the last part.
He nodded.
Margarita went out, looking flushed. She smiled a bit and kissed him on the cheek. They sat at the bench.
"Why are you here? I thought you'll go out with the guys?"
"I saw you, Marga. Who's the other guy?", he asked directly. He, too, looked flushed with anger.
She looked away. "What do youmean?"
"That car. I saw you get inside, holding hands with a guy whom I don't see from around here..", Jealousy swelled up.
"I wanted to talk to you yesterday, Fierro."
Sensing that he won't be talking much, she continued. "He's the new guy for our country's soccer team. Dad likes him for me."
His hands balled into fists.
"But it's you that I love and you know that, right?"
That softened him a bit. When it comes to this girl, it would always melt him.
"Why hold hands with him? We're still together. That was insulting."
"It wan't a big deal. He was just being a gentleman. He was just assisting me. And I was just being nice to him. Dad wants me to be nice to him."
Dad.Dad.Dad.Can't she make her own decisions? For God's sake, she's 21!
He shook his head. "Holding hands with a guy you barely know isn't being nice, Marga. You know that."
He stood, walked towards his bike, barely noticing me and not even saying goodbye to Margarita. She wanted to follow him but didn't. I can see the hurt in her face, too.
*** "He started by sending her SMS that same day.", I told Marco. "I could remember her smile then. You know that smile that lights up one's day? That's the kind of smile." He smiled, remembering Bangkok and what his friend said, 'You know that smile that could light up the whole world? That's what she did. She enchanted me.' 2009
"Whatta sick move by number 19! A timed juke to the right cleared his path to the end zone."
Everybody cheered. The UFFC-Philippine team scored again against Team Singapore. The Bird Man did it again. He was very inspired.
Well, who wouldn't? The girl he most coveted and loved was watching him play.
"There goes your man!" I teased Lois.
She giggled. "My man? Oh, no! My friend, your bestfriend."
Yes, they're still not official together but I can see in Lois' eyes, that she has something for Rain. As much as Rain is persistent in courting her, she's also persistent in keeping her promise to herself that a guy must court her for 6 months before actually saying yes or no to him.
"But you like him, right? And guess what, Lois, isn't today the 6th month?"
She covered her face, embarrassed in a good way and nodded. She breathed deeply and looked at me, wanting to tell me something.
"You're saying yes?"
"Team Philippines Won!" The speakers blasted, cutting or conversation. We were jumping up and down. Because of this, they'll already qualify for the Flag Football Festival in Boston on 2010. Rain, who's one of the star players was congratulated profusely. The team prayed together like they always do. After a couple of minutes, he was finally able to approach Lois and I.
"Congrats!" I hugged him.
"Thanks, Mimi! Whew! We did it! Thanks to you, Lois." He said motioning a hug towards her.
Lois hesitated but finally gave him a hug and gave her felicitations in a soft, timid manner.
Standing there, felt like watching a movie--- a love story unfolding before my very eyes.
"I love you, Lois" It was the tiniest of whispers but I heard that.
The whole team saw the hug, in which Rain didn't let go of. They teased them. Ofcourse, they also like Lois for their Bird Man.
Lois is an extraordinary girl. A very charming and beautiful girl---long, wavy, dark brown hair; olive, radiant skin; slender model-like body; intelligent warm chocolate brown eyes; perfectly-shaped lips. She's also a dean's lister, an advocate for peace, a violinist and a flamenco dancer. But she keeps a low profile.
Rain is also someone special---tall, fair-complexioned, jet-black straight hair, round dark caramel brown eyes, musculine. He works as a ramp and print model while studying. His passion basicly revolves around flag football, surfing and doing trail runs. Despite the high profile, Rain has a soft spot when it comes to family. He's raised alone by her mother whom he loves so much.
The guys continued to tease the two. The boys were also counting the days of the courting.
"So, what's the verdict, Lois? Is it a yes or a no?", Liam, the quarter back asked. He was patting Rain's shoulders for support.
"why don't we give these two some privacy?" I intercepted and winked at my bestfriend.
We all went to the farthest part of the field.
"I'm not going to pressure you, Lois. I know it's the 6th month but if you still aren't ready, I''ll understand", he started and at the same time tiny drops of rain poured. "C'mon let's get out of the rain first."
"No, let's stay."He seemed surprised. Lois is a bit of a neat-freak. Her white shoes might be tampered with mud. "I think you need a shower with all the mud in your face and body" She joked, wiping a little smudge of dirt in his left cheek. Rain touched her hand and kissed it.
"I love you so much, Lois." The rain was now pouring cats and dogs. We could only see their silhoutte under it.
She drew a deep breath, "I love you, too."
That and Rain lifted her up happily, shouting, "Yes! I'm the happiest guy in this entire universe!"
I smiled from where I can see them and everybody from the United Flag Football Club - Philippines was also cheering real hard.
"So now, three downs for a touchdown. D-line Fernandez tried to tackle the quaterback, Liam Benedict (Jersey #06) but he's not sacred. He's gonna run, gonna fire and Maverick (Jersey #13) caught the ball in a mid-jump, Maeverick pursued by three..Maverick getting away... and touchdown for Team Philippines. Six points and just like that. Good catch!"
I shook my head. If he loses this, he'd be depressed. I looked at my cousin, Fierro. He was covered in sweat as he kept glancing at Margarita.
"I was there. It was an intense game. I think I might have seen Marga then. The boys were drooling on the looks of her. That time though, Rain had all his eyes on Lois.", I told Marco. Gosh, I'm hungry. My stomach was making an embarrassing noise. "You want something more to eat? They have the best Shrimp Pizza here.", Marco offered. He looked at the door and recognized someone. I laughed at the thought of shrimps and looked at the door. I saw him, too. 2009
"Wow, flowers every day, huh?" I jokingly punched his arm.
"Did she like it, Mim?", Rain's eyes was full of hope. "Damn it! I really like her. This intense feeling! This, this.. Ahhh! I can't explain it. It's all here. Inside my heart. You know, when I just look at her..."
I cut him off.
"Why don't you ask her!" I looked at Lois who has heard the length of the conversation.
She blushed, trying to avoid Rain's eyes. Rain was beet-red.
"Uhmmm.. Hi!", she said, biting her lower lip. "I didn't hear a thing.
Liar! Defensive!
"Hi, Lois!", his radiant smile. "Did you..ah..did you receive the..ah.."
"Flowers. Really? You don't know how to talk in front of Lois? Huh, Rain?" I laughed. Where is Mr.Suave now?
He looked like he's about to kill me. I laughed still. He's so cute when he's angry and nervous. Lois, whatever did you do to my best friend!
"I..I liked it. So much."
"I'll leave you two lovebirds", I told them and headed home. Lois looked at me nervously. I texted her, [SCREAM if he makes a move on you. LOL!]
***
Rain took Lois to his favorite place. It was a private spot overlooking the whole Cebu City. It was an abandoned area. Rain discovered it a few months ago when he was jogging there.
"What is a shrimp?", she asked him all of a sudden.
He laughed. She must have heard our conversation before with Rain and the rest of the boys in the Flag Football Team. Shrimp refers to girls who have sexy bodies but an ugly face , hence, shrimp.
"Do you get it now?", he asked after a thorough explanation.
She nodded, thinking.
"You shouldn't look at girls that way, Rain. I mean, appearance isn't the only thing that matters."
He was taken aback. He couldn't defend himself because appearance matter to him. He's never seen with a girl who's less pretty.
I can't take it anymore. I really miss that half-bred guy! He's my sweet god and i'm his sweetie goddess. So, I texted him how much I'm longing to be with him again.
I was so happy seeing a reply from him but got sad again reading it.
>>I'm sorry, Missy. I don't want to talk to you yet. You go along and find someone new. You deserve someone better. Just remember, you'll always be someone special to me.<<
It hurts a lot but I still responded:
^^How could I find someone better when for me you're already the best?....Can't we work this out? Please? I'm really sorry about what I have said..I'm sorry..^^
He didn't reply.
I sent him messages of regret and asking forgiveness over and over again. Still no reply.
(sigh)
I cried myself to sleep today.

Friday
Morning
I woke up at 5:32 AM 'coz my phone rang. His name appeared on my phone's screen. He's calling me!
"Hi! You called!",I started excitedly despite my groggy voice.
"Hello...Is this Missy?", an unfamiliar voice echoed from the other line.
"Mmm..yeah..Who's this, please?"I replied, disappointed. He's calling me Missy so he probably listens to the FM Radio I'm working at.
"This is Arcus. Nikos' friend.."
"Oh..hi! Why d'you call? Where's he?" I said, now upset.
"Missy, somethin' happened..."
I suddenly got nervous. My palm sweated and I felt cold all over.
"Come over to Nikos' house here at Beverly Hills, okay? Just take a cab.", he said it gently, requesting, not commanding.
Before I could formulate questions, he already said goodbye.
Beverly hills? He's in Cebu and I don't know?

11:36 PM
My phone rang. My mom called.
"What happened?", she sound worried.
"Ma..." I wept bitterly. My mom knows what's going on between me and Nikos lately. According to her, it's just a test. That things like cool-off and breaking up do happen in relationships at times.
i wish she could hug me now. I really need her.
"Tell me...", she said, soothingly.
"Ma,Nikos left me already..."
"That's okay. Maybe he's really not for you. Maybe you can still find other guys to love. Or maybe in the end, in the future, you'll be together again. Both of you are still young, sweetie..Everything will be fine.."
"Ma..you don't understand..Ma, Nikos is gone..He's dead..."

Saturday
12:00 Midnight
And again, I cried myself to sleep today.
Happy birthday, Nikos...
-Camaeja-
DJ Missy was my deejay name.
Below is Nikos' Facebook. This is a tribute for him since it's his birthday today. I hope he's happy wherever he is now. I will always remember him.
"Summer!",somebody called my name. I turned to look who called me despite the fact that I'm in the middle of a traffic jam.
A guy inside a sleek Lamborghini Murcielago waved his hand at me. He looks unfamiliar. But mind you, he's one really handsome guy! So, I smiled at him, too. Well, not only because he's handsome---with a gazillion worth of a car---but it might be because we may have met somewhere before and I just forgot his name and face. Well, who knows!
"Gotta go!", I said pointing to the other side of the street where I'm supposed to be crossing. I acted as if we're friends. What can I do? I'm a friendly person!
He smiled at me, waved again and winked just in time for the vehicles to move.
I smiled, confused. Who could that guy be? Urgh! No matter how i squeeze my brain, I really couldn't remember where I met him or saw him before. This is insane! I usually don't forget attractive fellas---especially those as heavenly-looking as him. He looks like that Thai actor where an ugly duckling girl turned beautiful swan fell in love with him and vice versa. Oh, shoot! I even forgot his name, too. Was it Marlo? Marco? Mauro?
"Hmmm..", I tapped my right foot, still thinking.
"Hey, Summer!", an unfamiliar voice sounded. I looked sideways, seeing weird-looking guy.
"Hi, Summer!", he said again, with a grin showing a missing front tooth.
Duh! Do I know you?, I wanted to say but instead, "Ahem...mmm...do we know each other?"
He laughed-smiled and pointed to the rectangular, pink-colored piece of cardboard placed neatly pinned on my shirt.
I looked at it and became dumb-founded.
Oh men! You could just imagine how stupid I am! I forgot I was still wearing my name tag which I wore during the flight attendant seminar I went to moments ago. Now I know why they know my name. Stupid! Stupid me!
I was really blushing beet-red as I told that scary-looking guy,"Oh! Thanks for telling me! I'm such a moron. I forgot to take this off." urgh! This is so embarrassing!
That weird guy just laughed and walked away, shaking his head. For sure, he's got a funny story to tell his friends. And that irritated me all the more. Adding to the fact that that handsome boy i saw awhile ago could be laughing at me, thinking I'm into him.! Shit!
I took off the name tag and started to tear it to pieces due to frustration.
"Don't...", a familiar voice said from behind. I turned around. "Don't tear that. I'm thankful for that piece of paper. I got to know your name because of that. Do you know that I have been looking at your life in a distance since I first saw you in the mall 5 months ago? Please don't think I'm a stalker. I probably am categorically but my intentions are good.I'm just smitten by your beauty, Summer. Now I know your name. By the way, I'm Idan", the handsome guy from that vehicle on the street moments ago said.
I smiled shyly. we shook hands. Hmmm.. Works of fate!
According to the more recent definition, a blue moon is the second full
moon in a calendar month. For a blue moon to occur, the first of the
full moons must appear at or near the beginning of the month so that the
second will fall within the same month (the average span between two
moons is 29.5 days).\
But my story is about a myth that blue moons are rare. Just like the saying "once in a blue moon".In real life, the moon would never really become blue, but in the story, that's how the Blue Moon is supposed to be.
Well, i hope you guys enjoy this one! :)

BLUE MOON
Before men could even learn to write, before they even knew
science and alchemy, they already know this thing called LOVE. The wonderful
emotion which knows no time, no beginning and no end, no place, and no
particular person. It is a feeling that make us happy..and sad. A something
that can be expressed, and be hidden without success. A thing that that touches
all of us and all of life. LOVE.
***
It all began in the ancient times when giants roamed the
earth, and gods and goddesses ruled the world inhabited by mortals, demigods
and other entities. Harmony was established in the heavens and earth for the
mortals followed all the rules set upon them as they revered greatly the
immortal ones. On the other hand, the rulers are generous to their people.
Everything went smoothly until…
The middle of the night came under the BLUE MOON. They said
that a blue moon is a very rare event. It can only be experienced in every one
thousand years. It is in this glorious event that the beautiful goddesses of
Mount Parnassus would come down to earth and choose any body of water to bathe
into as the luminescence of the moon rejuvenates their powers and immortality
for another millennia.
Accidentally, Haenos, the handsomest of all men, was walking
near the Lake Elixir that night. He was doubting whether love was real. There
were many pretty ladies of his time and place but he just couldn’t get hold of
that feeling they call love. He was on the verge of not believing such nonsense
when he saw a very beautiful maiden bathing in the middle of the lake. She was
closing her eyes, feeling the rays of the moon. Her hair was glowing a bluish
white hue, her skin heavenly, and her face that even surpassed the beauty of a
song, a poem or a flower.
Haenos was dumbstruck. He felt like the world has stopped
turning and he couldn’t help but just stare at the angel before him. He felt
something inside of him..something different..something he’d never felt before.
Could this be love? He asked himself as the maiden opened her eyes.
She was startled seeing him. She didn’t know what to do. And
she just couldn’t stare at him without finding herself blushing. So, she just
looked down.
What is a mortal doing
here? A handsome mortal!, she smiled at the thought and felt ashamed later
on. No, she can’t be attracted to him. It just can’t be.
She saw ripples in the crystal clear water. The moment she
looked up, he was already infront of her…only a few inches away. She smelled
his sweet boyish scent. He has dark mysterious eyes which tries to tell her
something. She could see a smile painted in his pink lips and straight-set
white teeth. Again, she blushed. A tickle in her heart followed. This was the
first she felt this. Being a goddess, their feelings are walled and guarded,
especially when it comes to those of not their kind.
“You are so beautiful”, he whispered. He realized he was
facing the goddess of heart and attraction. It was the first time he’d seen her
come down to earth. The paintings the old race made for her, did no justice of
how striking and wonderful she looks.
She sucked in air. You
are beautiful, too,she wanted to say. Instead, she shyly looked up to him
straight in the eye.
That single night, led them to fall in love with each other.
They dated in the meadows of tulips, the banks of the River
Tigris or Euphrates, swam on the Lake Elixir or simply lie down in the clouds.
Everything was beautiful. But still, fear was in their hearts.
“I know this is wrong but I love you. No matter what I do, I
just can’t stop this”, he told her, cupping her face, kissing her in the
forehead.
“I love you, too.” She sighed. “Why are there rules? Why do
we have to break rules for us to be happy? Why can’t we be free? I want to be
with you..forever”, she whispered, hugging him knowing in her heart that she
would always love him even if obstacles would separate them.
If they would end up together, would she give up her
immortality and power? Or would he give up his mortality and forever leave his
friends and family on earth? Who would bend? Who would leave everything behind?
Wouldn’t it hurt? And if it hurts one of them, wouldn’t it
hurt the other more?
“Bersvire!”, a booming angry voice sounded, radiating to the
earth and heavens like a loud thunder.
The lovers looked towards the where the voice came from.
Seeing where it originated, Bersvire stifled a soft cry. It was Lord Craeon,
the Prime Ruler of the heavens and earth. They were doomed.
“Please! Don’t hurt her! This is all my fault. Please don’t
punish her, Lord Craeon. I’m begging you..” Haenos knelt infront of the great
lord, tears and fear in his eyes. But it’s to no avail. They broke the first
rule of the Holy Tablet that no one mortal and one immortal should love each
other romantically.
Death would be given to the mortal and the immortal would be
driven off from Mount Parnassus, the first heaven, taking away its powers,
therefore, remaining as an infutile immortal.
That dawn before they were condemned…
“Please don’t cry. This wouldn’t hurt. I would be dying for
you..and it would be all worth it. I would still see you in the next life,
right?”
She burst into tears. For someone inclined to be punished
forever, there is no next life. She also fears that she no longer has powers to
go to that time and place where he’s be born again.
“I want to die with you…but I can’t” Immortals couldn’t die
unless Lord Craeon would command the all the Heavens to. But it has never
happened in the history of Mt.Parnassus. “Haenos, though you deserve more than
all that I can give, you ask nothing.”
“I love you”, he whispered, “and knowing that you love
me,too, is more than enough, Bersvire. I will wait for you…”
He was burned to death, her seeing it all as he was consumed
by the angry flames. But there’s nothing she can do but cry and ache her heart
out.
Bersvire was then bought to an uncharted part of the universe
to live miserably forever. She was trapped in the last heaven.

But.. Love is powerful. It knows no rules, nor no boundaries. All it knows is that it has to prevail. To fight until the fight is over.
"A blue moon is seen in our night sky right this very moment. This is the rarest of all phenomena. Nobody knew how this came to be. Even our scientists are still trying to find out where the moon got the blue luminescence emitting from its core." the TV reporter announced on live tv.
"It's been a thousand years", Krishna stated, closing the ancient book she's reading. She went outside to look at the moon. It's really the same as it is in the book. A book handed down by their ancestors only to chosen ones. Then, she saw the glowing circle at the center of the blue moon.
"Jesus, man! Can't you see it?", Mikel asked his friends. "It's in the center. It's a glowing circle".
"Are you crazy? All we can see is a blue moon, man! And that's that. End of story. Maybe it's just the sun blinding you! Or maybe because of too much heartache!" his friends laughed and teased.
Little did Mikel know that only two people on earth can see the glowing circle. He and another one on the other side of the world.
She's from the East, seeing the moon at night, while he's from the West, seeing it at day. How miraculous as it may seem, the moon fights the golden brightness of the light of the sun.
>> ASL pls<<
^^19, male, new york..u?^^
>>18,girl,iraq<<
Technology has also one way of putting two ends together. It all started there and soon Krishna and Mikel fell in love with each other.
>> i love you, too, mikel...but its hard...i havent seen u yet..(yes,in your facebook and twitter,but not personally)<<
^^does it really matter? would anything change if we see each other now? would your love fade away? krish, i've been real honest with my identity. no photoshop. no borrowing of friend's picture. if you want, i could go and get a ticket now. my savings are enough already for me to travel there..^^
>>please...it's not just that. i'm a muslim...and you're a christian. we just can't be..<<
Days later, Mikel landed on Iraq. He really wanted to marry Krish in the future. No difference in religion could make him stop loving her.
"My heart and life was a mess until you came and fixed it. I can't afford to lose you, Krish. I just can't. I love you too much".
"Please..Please go away! I don't love you!" she sounded angry "What I said via email and chats, those were not real...Now, go away! I don't need you here.." she said that with agony etched in her voice. She didn't really mean to hurt him. She just wanted to save him. Her father is a strict and notorious man and so are her people.
"If you don't love me, then why can I see pain in your eyes? Krishna, please! If you're scared, then so am I. But if I'm with you, I know things will be fine. Please hold my hand and trust me on this. I won't give you up without a fight, Krish.."
The moment he hugged her, a gun shot was heard.
They say that you have to bleed to know you're alive. But Mikel bled because he loved, and will continue to love.
With his last breath, he mouthed the words, "I love you, Bersvire...I will still wait for you.."
She cried, "Haenos!" and he died in her arms.

But... Love knows no distance, no difference, no religion. It goes beyond boundaries. Even the impossible.
Another millennium passed.
"Didn't it hurt when you fell?", he asked her.
She laughed. "What are you talking about?"
"Oh..aren't you an angel? Didn't it hurt when you fell from the heavens?"
She smiled. If only,she whispered.
She was an inventor. She create robots---humanoids, to be exact. She made them with emotions and physique that of real humans. In the world that she's living now, robots mingled with humans. It was year 3017.
Her name is Kliere. And his name is Robo 1.7. He is Kleire's masterpiece. He is very human physically, mentally, emotionally. Sometimes, you'd even wonder if he has a soul.
Kleire knows that it's crazy to love Robo. He's a robot. Not human. But deep inside her, she knows, she love him as much as he says he loves her.
"Robo, stop it. Just stop saying those words. Okay?"
"Why? Didn't you install in my system that the truth will set one free? I'm telling the truth because this is what I feel. I really love, Kleire...I know I'm a robot but I'm also capable of human emotions. Is it wrong to love too much? You didn't input in my system the answer to that.", he said with a very hurt expression. Have he been human that could produce tears, he could've cried. But he couldn't.
"God! Listen, Robo...It's not wrong to love too much. It's not wrong to give it all when you love. What's wrong is that I'm human. You're a robot. Can't you see? We're different." she cried, frustrated, angry at herself while pitying him. "Feel this?"---she let him touch her tears---"You can't produce this. Only humans do."
"Just because I can't produce tears, does that mean that the processing units you placed in me doesn't get hurt? Maybe I don't produce that water your lacrimal gland produces but I feel the pain inside the metals and wires you placed inside of me. I don't even understand why I feel pain when robots can't get sick!"
"Just hate me, Robo.."
"It's funny I felt so broken inside...like a glass shattered into a million pieces...but still loving you with all the pieces that are left."
"Damn! Stop it, will you!"she said, hurting, too. I said I don't love you and i don't need you but I lied. I swear, I do,she wanted to tell him that but instead she said, "It's too much poetry I placed in your system..that's why you're saying that."
"You're wrong..." he said, motioning towards the trash bin. There she saw broken pieces of every microchips that's controlling him as a robot.
"How could this be? You're programmed by these!"
He took her hand and looked intently into her eyes.
"Bersvire, don't you recognize me?"
A tear dropped from his eyes.
"Haenos.." she whispered. "Please..please don't leave me this time.."
"I don't want to...but if that would come, always remember that things would always end up right. If things won't go our way again, it's not yet the end. Like I've told you, I wouldn't give up without a fight. Every lifetime that the blue moon has given, I searched for you. And if I have to do it all over again, I would.."
"I'm willing to wait for another thousand of years for you. Now, I understand. Now, I wouldn't ask you to stay. Because I know you'd come back until we find a time and place that's right...a time and place where we can freely love each other.."
They hugged tight and there was a loud bang. They saw a blue fire and smelled sweet smoke. They felt that they're burning in an instant. Those were the last things that their senses perceived. It was the last day of the world. The blue moon has collided with earth that fateful night.
In the nothingness and emptiness, you could hear him say, "I know a place that we can go...a place where no one knows us...a place where we can stay together...forever..", and her saying, "Please take me there..."
"It was a fairytale that night but it didn't end the way I expected it. How could I let it happen? Were my words not right? Did I hold you too tight? With every moment that passed, it kept getting worse. Now, with every breath, I'm sinking deeper. Listen to my heart as it says,'Please take me. You are everything to me and no matter what you'd do, I'll stay.' Does it make any sense to you? I'm telling you this with no wine in my breath..I always said I'd never give up without a fight. And all this time, I've been fighting battles for a reason. A reason I can call YOU..", Haenos told Bersvire that night as she peacefully rested her head on his shoulders. They are looking at the calm sea under the starry-studdied nightsky.
"My life was slowly fading away. I didn't want to fight back anymore. I was breaking down. Then you came. It turned my world upside down. Everything changed in an instant. You made me feel again. I didn't have to fake every smile that I made. I can be myself everytime I'm with you. You changed me. I've never been like this. Never this happy in my entire immortal life. It's as if I can live with only your smile. You made me feel special. You mad me feel loved..", she replied with a hint of a sweet romantic smile on her lips.
"I'm glad we've found this place..."
He answered her with a kiss.
They did find a place where they could live happily ever after. It's hard to find it in reality, that's why they've found it in "Blue Moon". A place of fantasy. A place where the author writes a story that would end with joy in the readers' hearts.
Had it not been for Haenos and Bersvire, had they not found this place at the tip of the pen of the author, there wouldn't be such a place of imagination where they'd love each other with no ifs and buts. If not for them, there wouldn't have been a story called, "BLUE MOON".
Love will really find its way.
No matter how far the distance,
no matter how strong the opponent,
no matter how unwinnable the battle,
no matter how stiff and tough the competition,
no matter how rough the roads to trudge,
no matter how different the beliefs,
no matter how wide the gap,
no matter how great the obstacles,
Love will lead you back and take you home.
It asks no why, no if, no but, no how, no time, no place...
It only asks you to believe
and everything will end up
more than fairytales do.
"You always find the things that you're looking for at the last place you looked.."
